For the past 6 years we have been using your service to protect our assists at our business in Fearick Street, Sidwell as well as our home in Summerstrand. In this time I have never made a call or received a call from an unfriendly Atlas staff member, irrespective of what time it is.
It is not always pleasant to receive a “wakeup call” early in the morning to inform us that the alarm is going off, and personally I’m not the most pleasant person under those circumstances, however, your staff is alwaysfriendly and polite no matter the circumstances.
At 04:00hrs this morning our home alarm was activated for some reason, and within seconds we received a call from your staff. Not knowing what set the alarm off, your armed response arrived to check.
This kind of service makes us sleep better at night…
Please convey our appreciation to all your staff and keep up the good work.

Yesterday, Fraser together with our gardener went to the Arlington refuse tip. He had finished off loading when he realised that his keys were locked in the car. While he was on the phone to me he was attacked by a chap who tried to take his cell phone when Fraser put up a struggle the guy pulled out a screw drive and tried to stab him. I was on the phone the whole time and could hear the screaming and then I realised that the phone was in the attacker’s possession and they were running away. At this time I did not know how serious the attack was and whether or not Fraser was injured or not. I immediately phoned Atlas who dispatched their armed response units and an ambulance. Fortunately Fraser was just shaken and a little bruised. I have to thank your staff for the professional way they handled the situation. If not for the cool and calm response from the lady at your control centre I do not know what I would have done. Your armed response once again outdid themselves. They were on the scene within minutes and one of your guys remained with Fraser until I was able to get spare keys to him and then they escorted him away from Arlington.
Mike, Atlas must surely be the best security company in town. If not for you and your staff we would definitely feel a lot less safe and secure in our homes. Please pass on my sincere thanks to all concerned.

My husband and I would really like to thank Atlas for their fast response to our alarm going off as a result of a break in at our home in Church Rd on Friday 4th June in the middle of the day. We were overseas in Israel when I heard about it from my son Ken. Shaun Boscombe is also a key holder for us as we have known him since Atlas first started many years ago and he has become a very special friend, and when he saw that the alarm was activated he also alerted the armed response even though he was ill at home at the time. My son phoned me because in my rush of leaving for the trip I gave him the wrong keys for the house and so they were not able to get in !! – Shaun sorted this out and sent his set to him.
Needless to say I was in a panic sitting in Jerusalem feeling totally helpless but when I was not able to reach Shaun on his phone I phoned Charlane Mentoor (who has also been such a wonderful help and friend to us whenever we needed help) and asked her if she could organize a dedicated patrol for our property until we returned on Monday 7th June. She was so caring and efficient and did this which helped greatly to put our minds at rest.
As a result of our very good alarm system and the efficiency and dedication of the Atlas team very little damage occurred and very little was taken from the house. We are so very grateful to all the Atlas staff involved and would like to say a very sincere thank you to all.
We have been part of the Atlas family since Atlas security started and I have to say we could not be happier with the wonderful caring service that we receive from this great company.

Early hours of Monday morning at an estimated time of 12:15, a black male suspect broke into the complex. Walking past each unit and trying to open the windows. I heard a noise at my window and woke up, then also received a sms from my next door neighbour saying that there is a thief outside our units. I immediately pressed the panic button, Atlas security guards were there within 2 minutes. I hardly had time to open my door and trellidoors to get out the unit. Atlas was already at the front gate. We opened the gate and they ran to where the suspect was. The suspect jumped onto the 2nd floor balcony and then onto the carport and over the wall into the next door neighbour. All this was captured on the next door neighbours CCTV Camera system. One of the Atlas Security Guards ran out the complex and drove around to try and find the suspect. A shot was fired somewhere, the other Atlas Security Guard requested backup, then ran out our complex into the street and caught the suspect jumping over the next door neighbours wall into the street. More Atlas Security Guards arrived in no time.
One of the other units in the complex pressed the panic button for their security company to come out. I think their response time was about 10min. The South African Police force was also contacted straight after Atlas phoned me finding out what the emergency is. Unfortunately the Walmer Police Station seem to be understaffed, they also arrived in some old police bakkie about an hour and 40 minutes later driving up and down the road not knowing where the corner of Prospect and 8th Avenue is.
I would like to thank Atlas with their professional service and QUICK response time! If it wasn’t for Atlas in Port Elizabeth, I think the crime would be double if not triple!
I recommend Atlas to everyone!!!!

Tuesday (23 February 2010) at about 17:00 my wife called Atlas by means of the panic button because she found burglars in our house.Of course she was hysterical.Within 5 minutes your man was on site.Unfortunately I do not know his name.He was very kind and helpful towards my wife and like she said“He just took over and did all the necessary things”

I would just like to convey my thanks to Rudi for the assistance given to me yesterday at the intersection of Jeffrey and Genadendal.
A matric pupil without a license was driving under the influence of alcohol and stranded himself on top of the sand embankment. I removed his car keys with the intention of handing them to the police as he wanted to flee the scene.
This youngster was full of nonsense and his mother even worse as she had every intent in throwing a rock onto my vehicle for not allowing them to remove the vehicle before the SAPS had arrived. Rudi stopped the woman from causing damage to my vehicle.
It was sad to see a youngster locked up in the cells and charged for driving under the influence but with the assistance of Atlas we removed a risk from the roads and might have saved someone’s life by stopping another accident from happening!

I would just like to thank the Atlas staff members who came out to Alexander Road High yesterday afternoon after my son was mugged and assaulted. The school had phoned the police as well as Atlas and Atlas was on the scene in a couple of minutes and attempted to track down the perpetrators. We would like to thank them for being so dedicated to keeping the area crime-free.

On Saturday evening 07 Nov 2009 around 9PM our father-in-law collapsed at home. The only thing that we could think of was to contact ATLAS security. Most probably not the correct thing to do, but under the circumstances it seemed to be the right thing. We tried to call at first but could not get through to ATLAS on the land line so in a state of shock we pushed the panic button, again probably not the right thing to do but we could not think of anything else.
Atlas arrived within a few minutes but unfortunately they confirmed that my father-in-law was already dead.
The assistance after this was greatly appreciated as they stood by our family and even helped to call a Funeral house to assist with the removal of the body.
I just want to personally thank the person that arrived to help us, but in the frenzy I did not even get his name! Your support and assistance was greatly appreciated as it goes "beyond the call of duty" I am sure. This also applies to the Supervisor that came to help as well.

Firstly, I receive these emails from a friend, would it be possible to add me to your list and email me direct?
Secondly and most importantly a letter of thanks and appreciation to Atlas Security and the wonderful job they do.
During the period of August the 24th to September the 22nd, I had the misfortune of having attempted or actual break-ins.
A total of eight during this period, I am pretty sure that you are aware of this due to the high number involved.
I would like to thank Andre Du Toit your salesperson, for his assistance and quick reaction to helping me upgrade and add various security measures. Also his friendliness, calling both on the phone and in person during and afterwards to ensure all was okay and to ask about my current status after each break-in. A true reflection of a good man and I am sure reflects only positive image for, not only himself but for Atlas as a company.
Thirdly, Nikkie Puttier (sorry if I have spelt his name wrong?) Your security officer. I first encountered him when they tried to break in to my house in the early hours of Sunday morning, when he responded after I pressed the panic alarm.
He organized PG glass and stayed until all was okay and secured. As did your other officers.
Like I said they had broke into my place a few more times and although various officers came, all doing an excellent job, it was Nikkie that stood out, as he not only responded to the calls but also came around to check on me even when he was off duty several times. Not to mention driving past my place on numerous occasions, both in the Atlas car and his own vehicle that I saw him, probably a lot more that I did not see!
He gave me his own private number and said that I must call him anytime that the alarm went off as he would not only respond in his duty as a Atlas security officer but if he was off duty he stayed close by and would come out, anytime day or night.
His dedication to his job and to the people he serves both Atlas and there customers is outstanding!
I cannot recall ever receiving such high service both in his capacity from Atlas but as an individual as well.
I understand that he is a police reservist; if the police had more people like Nikkie then I am certain that PE would be a safer place to stay.
A truly remarkable individual and one that gives me hope for the future, especially in the bad times of the last few months that I have encountered.
Once again thank you to both these individuals and to Atlas for the OUTSTANDING service they provide!

I would like to take the time to thank you for the professional and respectful manner you guys helped us on Monday with the unfortunate passing away of my mother-in-law.
The way that Marius handled the situation kept my husband and myself calm and under control. It is with great thanks and appreciation I write this letter and will never forget the way you guys took control of everything and steered us in a very delicate way to what needed to be done.
I would never have been able to think of the things you told me to do and how quick you had things happening.
I am really so glad I phoned Atlas in the moment of panic.

Hi to all at Atlas
I very recently moved over from a competitor to Atlas due to some increasingly shocking service which I had finally had enough of. I was in contact with Robert and Bernadette from your sales division and I would really like to compliment them on such a fantastic service that they provided.
Atlas technicians came around and installed all they needed to and the guys were beyond superb. It took a lot longer than expected to install the system but the guys were professional throughout the whole procedure (I even put the Lions rugby game on in the bedroom so they could catch a few snippets…yes it was a Saturday and Sunday that they worked).
Duncan, Jason and Kent (including another I can’t remember) are a true asset to your organization.
I recently had a false alarm which resulted in such a prompt call from Atlas, it shocked me. I was used to waiting 5 to 10 minutes before a call was received (no kidding here). The reason for the false alarm was identified and fixed.
The constant follow up service by Robert and Bernadette was awesome.I now know that I made a great choice with going over to Atlas and I wanted to share this with other people so they would know that you don’t have to sit and accept shoddy service…… Just give Atlas a call.

I would like to thank your teams and compliment you on your service and wonderful work done for us.
My mother, Mrs Bolton, had not been well for a number of months. Many a time it was necessary for her to press her panic button for medical assistance at any time of day or night. Atlas were here like a shot and managed to organise an ambulance very quickly to get her to hospital each time she went into cardiac failure The team of people assisting and the paramedics were fantastic and of great support
She passed away on 27/06/09 at home. Yet again the Atlas team was here in full support with the paramedics trying their best to resuscitate her. The professional manner in the way in which her whole death was managed and assistance with police and funeral home were commendable.
I would like you to convey our thanks from the family for all assistance given to my mom over the past years by your teams. Well done and keep up the good work

Last night we had a fire in our home in Walmer, caused by a gas leakage. We could not get the fire out and were very worried about the possibility of an explosion, and of course, the fire spreading.
So we pushed our panic button – we were panicking, right?
And that was where the professionalism of Atlas stepped in. My first contact was with the operations room telephone operator, who, with calmness and efficiency, took my message to notify the fire brigade. She also alerted the patrol teams who were at the house in minutes, and who knew exactly what to do, starting with switching off the electricity mains. We had not thought to do this. Fortunately, we remembered that we had a fire extinguisher, and this did the trick. Atlas had alerted the fire brigade, who arrived shortly thereafter. When I thanked the fire brigade, they told me that Atlas had already done their work.
Also on the scene was an ambulance, staffed by personnel who were exceptionally caring, and checked my partner, who is in his seventies, very thoroughly. The police arrived as well, and told me that we had gone the best route by contacting Atlas as there is no call queue, and the reaction is so fast.
We are so very grateful to everyone who assisted us last night. Not only were they extremely competent and efficient, but their treatment of us was so kind and concerned. What an outstanding team. My only regret is that with all that was happening, I did not ask the names of the people who helped us.
However, I have no doubt that Atlas has all these details on record and so I would really appreciate it if you would convey our message to each one of them.

We, Glenn & Denise, would like to thank the staff of Atlas for their quick response and action taken on the morning of 16 July 2009. Even though we are no longer members of Atlas they still performed a duty as if we were.They managed to contact us whilst we were in East London to notify us that our outside quarters were on fire and that the Fire Brigade was busy attending to the fire. We would like to inform you that once this financial crisis, which has a grip on the whole world has passed,we definitely will make use of your excellent services again.We would like to say a big thanks to Samantha, Jody and his assistant.

Thank you all so much for helping sort the abovementioned problem out so smartly.When all of this happened and we were notified at 2 am -one always thinks the vey worst as bothour children were not at home. The next morning early when we were going to collect the car - Mario was already patrolling and came immediately to greet us.
He then went about sorting the beam problem out, not only immediately, but quietly and efficiently. When it came to the night staff member coming on duty, he too came to greet us and told us what time he was putting the beam on. Very professional.
From that moment on, ATLAS DPShave really won us over as we realise that your staff go far beyond the call of duty. I honestly think that Gary and Mike can be proud of the young menthey employ, as they do ATLAS very proud!! WELL DONE.
We appreciate your friendly and efficient service, and will not hesitate to recommend your service.

Hi my name his Audrey. My Husband Gavin had a stroke last year and our Home is protected by Atlas. A couple of month ago my husband collapse in the early hour of the evening. Thinking he was having a stroke again, I set off the alarm. Not only did you send a response unit but also a paramedic from Atlas. Your men were heaven sent assessing my husband vital signs.
They waited until the ambulance arrived informing them with all the necessary Medical info and kept me calm. Lucky for my husband he had a Central ear infection that looked similar to a stroke. Well done you are the best.

At 00H35 I received a call from yourselves informing us that our business alarm had been triggered and that there was a broken window. Despite the initial shock, I was on the premises within five minutes of the call. I was greeted by three of your officers with vehicle lights still flashing. After searching for outside perimeter to ascertain if there was any further damage, they then secured the entire inside of our premises prior to allowing me access. They had also arranged PG Glass to replace the damaged window, which were on site by the time of my arrival.
We as a company would just like to express our gratitude for the efficient speedy
response, the polite and well mannered officers who were on site and their willingness to go beyond the call of duty to assist and ensure that we were advised of other measure to avoid such unwelcome visits. Your officers remained on site until the glass had been replaced and I was able to reactivate the alarm. I was amazed at the foresight of your staff for arranging to digest the situation. The manner in which your officers conducted themselves is truly outstanding. I am now so much more relaxed knowing both my home and our offices are protected by your staff and the caliber of staff you employ is phenomenal.

Ek was alleen by die huis en verskriklik bang.Ek het ingesluimer en toe ek voor 3 in die oggend wakker skrik, was die huis pikdonker. My elektrisiteit was op.Dit het nog nooit gebeur nie.
Ek was in trane en het nie geweet wat om te doen nie. Ek bel toe julle kantoor en die vroutjie wat geantwoord het, het my gekalmeer en vir Juan uitgestuur.Ek kon nie die garage deur oopkry nie. Juan het gese ek moet nie bekommerd wees nie, hy sal sommer gou krag by die vulstasie vir my gaan koop. Hy het teruggekom die krag ingepons en seker gemaak dat ek veilig is.

For a long while now, our house has experienced a noisy phone line and frequent ADSL disconnects. It has been a very frustrating period in which telephone service provider offered very little assistance in getting to the cause of the problem.
After realizing that our alarm system also connects to the telephone line I took a wild chance asking Atlas to come over and see if they could diagnose the problem as they must have some inkling of the way telephone lines work.
This afternoon I received a phone call asking if Atlas could come around and help us and within a few minutes Rudi from Atlas was at our front door already. Big up to Atlas for the customer service thus far.
Then just a word on Rudi - very helpful guy, answered all my mundane questions on latest security products from Atlas and what we can do to protect the house further. But, by far, the best news is that in the space of five minutes he had solved our internet and noisy line problem which has plagued us for years.
So a big Thank you to Atlas - and more specifically, Rudi, who is certainly a great ambassador for Atlas.
